Brian Charles Lara (born May 2, 1969) (nicknamed, "The Prince of Port-of-Spain" or simply "The Prince") was a record-breaking cricketer, the greatest batsmen of his generation, and one of the greatest cricketers ever. His retirement certainly broke many a hearts including meself... He was such a stylish, nonchalant cricketer who can be fit enough to be a role model for any budding, emerging cricketers...
One of those finest player of spin bowling... One of the very few lot who have treated the great Shane Warne with minimum respect and... A certain amount of disdain... He is one of those regular record breakers... He was always hungry for runs even till his retirement... He was the mainstay in the Windies batting line up for the last decade or so... He is famous for scoring the highest individual score in test which was 375 in St.Johns in 1992 against England... But, was broken by Hayden who scored 380 against minnows Zimbabwe... But eventually, the Prince reclaimed his throne by hitting 400* against England in the same ground St.Johns... He also holds the record for the highest first class score which is his 501 for worcestorshire.. One of the architects of batting... Was also a part of the famous MRF trio along with Sachin and Steve Waugh... A most admirable cricketer indeed...
