IPL - Day 2 Preview

The Indian Premier league is stepping into the 2nd day today and its getting all the more interesting with 4 teams clashing today. First its going to be the clash between the kings as Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings XI are going to face each other in a fierce battle in the PCA stadium, Mohali.

Head to Head:
Its really going to be a match worth watching because of the players that each team has. First up, its going to be an engrossing battle between Mathew Hayden and Brett Lee. Both belonging to the same team, surely know each other. So, it will be interesting as to how Hayden will tackle Lee's pace as Hayden is one player who likes to dominate the bowlers.

The next battle is another mouth watering one which is going to be again, between 2 players playing for the same national team. This is going to be between Sangakkara and Muralitharan. Sangakkara knows everything about Murali as he is the one who keeps wicket for this spin wizard in the Srilankan team. So, this match is truly going to bring the spectators to the edge of their seats.

Trump Cards:
The main trump cards for the Punjab kings XI are surely going to be Yuvraj Singh and Brett Lee not to forget the other important players in the team. But taking the 20-20 format into the foray, Yuvi will definitely make a huge difference in this format of the game.

For the Chennai Super kings, the batting trump card is going to be Mathew Hayden and the bowling trump card will undoubtedly be Muthiah Muralitharan. Murali's statement ahead of the match has made the battle even more engrossing.

Quote:
"I will be bowling at Sachin Tendulkar, Adam Gilchrist, Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara. They all know me well, particularly Kumar, still it will be a challenge to bowl at them. I will like to bowl them out for a duck and that too on the very first ball they face."

Coming to the next match of the day which is going to be held between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Dare Devils in Feroze Shah kotla, Delhi.

Head to Head:
The only battle in this encounter is going to be between the dangerous Virendra Sehwag and the mesmerising legendary leggie Shane Warne. They have had many previous battles and each time, both players have shown their mettle. But this time around, its going to be a different story because of the 20-20 format.

Trump Cards:
The main trump card for the Rajasthan Royals is going to be the captain cum coach, Shane Warne. A lot would be expected of him.

For the Delhi Dare devils, Sehwag and Vettori are going to be the key players. Vettori is a tough bowler to play and his recent form stands testimony to the fact. So, the Rajasthan Royals are surely going to have a tough time. But, anything can happen in 20-20. So, lets wait and watch.

Quote:
"I think we have balance in the side, we have players to cover any department whether batting or bowling. Let the tournament start, I think we are one of the best sides."
Don't take Delhi lightly, warns captain Sehwag

"I have been asked how I feel about playing alongside Graeme Smith. We have not really got on too well as opponents - and that is an understatement."
Warne won't have to deal with Smith in the next few days at least

"In Twenty20 I have always opened, so I want to continue to bat in that position. But, I can bat at any position, the important thing is team's victory."
