The ongoing IPL has increased the already existing high temperature to a new high. This T-20 format has been receiving great response from the audience from all parts of India and also has been one of the best things to have happened to Indian cricket. The way the players from different countries are moving together as a single unit is something to cheer about and something that is good for cricket. But, the biggest controversy that has been dampening the spirits of the IPL in some parts of India has been the Cheer Leaders. These cheer leaders, most of them brought in from the US, have been the cause of the controversy in places like Maharashtra and Delhi. The Washington Redskins, one of the famous cheerleaders team has been brought in by Vijay Mallya for cheering the Royal Challengers. I suppose, they are the only ones who have brought some cheers on the Bangalore fans because the team is of no good.
What I feel is that there is nothing wrong on the part of the teams to have their cheer leaders cheering for them. This is in fact a form of entertainment provided to the crowd as well as the players apart from the cricket treat that has been provided to us. These cheer leaders add some western color and flavor to the atmosphere and their presence makes the place electric.
But, many so called great politicians are just making it an issue saying that these cheer leaders should be banned on grounds that they are destroying the Indian culture. This has always been the job of politicians particularly from the BJP and VHP who keep frowning about everything that is going on well in the country. Well. There are many ways in which culture can be destroyed and this definitely isn't one of them. Do you think that cheer leaders would in any way look entertaining and attractive in a costume such as this??
So, I wonder when will these stupid dumbheads stop making cheap publicity by ballooning such small issues. And it happens only in India. So, honestly, Do you agree with what ppl say, regarding this issue? Should the cheer leaders be banned in India?? Do Comment..

Cheerleaders are OK. What's wrong with having cheerleaders? They don't do any harm.

Cheerleaders are ok. The politicians as usual wanted to come into limelight and so they took this as a big issue.
