Adam Craig Gilchrist (born 14 November 1971 in Bellingen, New South Wales), nicknamed Gilly or Church, is an Australian cricketer. He is one of those cricketers with a never-say-die attitude.. And that is what i admire in him.. He is such an amazing batsmen and only very few batsmen from the modern era have been able to match his quality..
He is mainly known for his explosive batting predominantly in the shorter version of the game... He is one of those belligerrent opening batsmen that the wrold has ever seen.. And one more thing that i admire in him is his honesty... He was acclaimed worldwide for his famous "WALK" after the umpire had ruled him Not out.. He had gloved the ball and so, he just walked much to the surprise of the bemused Lankan players and the spectators..
One of those gentleman cricketers that the world has ever seen.. Some of his heroics come when the team needs him.. For instance, He has scored a half-century in the finals of 3 consecutive World Cup finals(99,03,07)... Now isnt that sumthng amazing... He is also one of the best glovesman that the world has ever seen... Taken sum amazing and breathtaking catches... So, I really hope that this guy continues to dominate the game for another 2yrs or so...
